Helder Rodrigues Eliminated In 8th Place (€14,240)

With the action folded round, Helder Rodrigues raised from the button and Johan Abramsson defended his big blind. On the Ts-Ad-5s flop, Abramsson check-raised Rodrigues bet of 80,000 all-in, and Rodrigues insta-called.

Rodrigues = Ah-Qd
Abramsson = Ac-5d

Turn = As
River = 8c

Aramsson raises his arms in triumph as Rodrigues exits to a nice ripple of applause.

But Rodrigues actually had 8,000 chips behind and had to come back to the table. He put them in the next hand and Kristian Tolvhed raised to 110,000 behind him, getting the blinds to fold. Protection for Rodrigues but he was dominated holding Qd-8s to Tolvhed's Qh-Jd which won out on a Ad-7d-9h-Ts-5d board.

The veteran of today's final, Helder is 56-years old and resides in Lisbon, Portugal. As a poker professional, he is no stranger to these shores, having become a regular player here at Europe's largest casino, Casino Estoril. A clear fan favourite with the rail, Helder will be keen to utilise his experience advantage and make sure that the trophy remains here in Lisbon.

Seven players remain.
