No Change for Hoivold
"I just have my starting stack," reported Andreas Hoivold as players dispersed for the first break of the day. "15,175 to be exact." But to suggest he's been inactive would be rather inaccurate to be honest, because prior to Homer's previously reported hand, Hoivold was down to 9,000 after an early collision with pocket queens.
"I raised it up with two red queens," he started, "and received one caller. I bet an 8-7-2 flop and a seven turn, but both times he called. On the eight river, I made a stopper bet, but he made a really small raise and I felt I had to call. "
"So what did he have?" I inquired eagerly.
"He'd gone all the way with 8-6," replied Hoivold, fighting back the bitterness.
