Andre Santos Eliminated In 2nd Place (€80,620)

Crippled after that last hand, Kristian Aksnes applied the pressure by setting his opponent all-in preflop at the start of the 60,000/120,000 level. Santos only had about 550k at this point and duly called with J♥ 9♦, behind but live against Aknses' A♥ T♣

The flop helped neither player coming K♣ 6♠ 7♥ but the turn was the Q♠. Now Santos needed a Ten or Nine to survive but the river was the J♠, the Portuguese player had made a pair but it was too late as Aksnes had rivered the nut straight to win Betsson Estoril Live, a fitting end to the tournament.

Nevertheless, the player from Portugal can be proud of his 2nd place finish which has bagged him €80,620.
