Kristian Has Faith

After a period of inactivity, we suddenly encountered a showdown on the outer table. With Pavel Novak making it 75,000 from UTG, the action folded around to Kristian Tolvhed who pushed all in for 215,000. After a brief pause, Novak shrugged his shoulders, announced call and tossed Ah-Ks onto the felt, all with the casual nonchalance of someone playing a play-money STT. Tolvhed turned over 9s-9c, and we had ourselves a coinflip.

Although the turn of a 6h-4d-Qh-Tc board added four addittional outs, none of them emerged as the river came the 8d to give Tolvhed the pot. Whilst Novak drops to a dangerous 125,000 in chips, Tolvhed, who has been up and down like a kangaroo on a trampoline, is now back around the 500,000 mark.
