Magic River Stops 'Hocus' Pocas

There's a five-way limped pot which sees no action until the turn of a T♦ 9♥ 5♦ 3♥ board. Pedro Pocas bets 650 from the big blind after the small blind checks. Jan-Peter Jachtmann calls before Joakim Okland raises to 2,000. Joar Barbosa folds, as does small blind Pedro Demeyre. Pocas now reraises to 4,500 and Jachtmann gets out of the way when he asks how much Pocas has left and gets a reply of "9,400." Okland pushes the rest of his stack in, it's only about 2,000 more and Pocas auto-calls.

Okland says, "I only have a draw," flipping K♦ Q♦ for a gutshot and flush draw, but he's surprised and no doubt happy to see his cards are live also, when Pocas shows an aggressively played but ahead J♠ 9♠. The river is the K♥ one of the 17 outs needed by Okland and he takes down the large pot.
