Overpair, Overbet, Game Over
Just when it was looking a little rosier for Frank Stockhaus, he tangled with Filipa Lemos in a pot which ended up being around 70k and bumped her up into the top stacks' zone. The flop had come down 4♣ 7♦ 6♠. Small blind (and preflop caller, I imagine) Stockhaus now moved all in, for over 30k, into a pot of what can't have been more than 10k!
Lemos sat back and pondered from behind impressively large sunglasses. Eventually, she counted out and made the call, with Q♦ Q♠. Stockhaus could only table 8♦ 8♥, and the two following rags made no difference to the outcome. He hit the rail, like so many others today - we're down to just 85!
