Sindristructable Short Stacker

Sindri Ludviksson (pictured above) has been comfortably among the big stacks today. With an early-position shove for just 15,300 from a supershort but very popular Portuguese player, whom I think might have been Nelson Pereira, he could afford to reraise and isolate with his A-Q. The shortstack, however, held A-K.

The board ran out with a King first card out, which drove his 5-strong rail absolutely nuts.

I heard more "VAMOOOOSSSS"s right then than in the whole of the tournament up to this point, while the celebration was more like he'd won the chip lead than doubled up to half average. I get the feeling this has been going on for a while:

"Sorry guys," laughed Ludviksson.

"I win this game!" laughed Pereira.

"Yes, you win it probably. That was probably the only time everybody was rooting for me..." The hi-fiving rail continues to support.
