This Guy Not In Any More

Here's where the cunning system of nametags and numbers and chip tracking breaks down - when you don't wear your tag. This familiar-looking gentleman is the most recently eliminated player, who got in a short-stack vs. short-stack all-in preflop confrontation vs. David Metelo (he of the bejewelled toad mascot).

The mascot worked his magic once again, for when Metelo open shoved in early-mid position, he probably wasn't looking for a call with his A♣ 6♥. However, small blind (see above) moved his even shorter stack all in too - and turned out to be holding a live K♦ Q♦.

Some real clenching must have been occurring for Metelo, though, when the 4♦ 9♥ 6♦ flop came down! Some good fading on the 5♠ ... 9♥ and Metelo and his toad double back to a playable stack, while this green-jacketed gent hits the rail.
